In 1958, my grandfather Herbert Shorrocks restored the ground floor on the south side of Coed-y-Celyn Hall. He was an artist, musician and collector of antiques. His passion for art and music has been passed down through the generations, along with his love and admiration for this beautiful house.

After my grandfather, my parents and I lived in the house and my mother Barbara was a local artist. Her creative influence led me to my love of music and ballet. The house has now been passed down to my cousins and I.

We adore this house and it is very sentimental to our family. Three generations of children have enjoyed it (unfortunately a few antiques have suffered from this!). We have a shared expeirience of lighting fires in the winter, swimming in the beautiful river in the summer and climbing the magnificent mountains of Snowdonia.

I am delighted to offer the private apartment to holiday guests, so they can also experience this beautiful home. For me, it is the most peaceful and stunning place in the world, and I hope you feel the same.

Your host,

Fiona
